But even on the best of holidays it would be hard to find the time to see and experience all of it.

So, to help you make the most of your Sea World stop, here are our picks for the must-visit attractions.

Vortex

We’re starting this list with the newest attraction in Sea World’s New Atlantis precinct: Vortex. The 10-metre high pendulum swing ride is all thrills and it’s opening this summer. If you like an adrenaline rush, this is a must-ride that’s definitely worth the line.

Seal Encounter

Seals are practically the doggos of the sea. So don’t miss the chance to meet these fun creatures up close. The best part for parents is, while this activity is highly interactive, nobody has to get in the water!

Affinity Dolphin Presentation

The Affinity Dolphin show, which is held at Dolphin beach, features three of the park’s dolphin rescues: Howie, RAAF, and Nudge. They swim with their trainer to highlight dolphins’ special relationship with humans and also, to teach the audience a thing or two about protecting marine wildlife.

Meet the Dolphin

If you were enthralled with the rescue dolphins’ performance at the show, then grab the chance to meet one of them! The dolphin encounter is expectedly a semi-water interaction and kids aged 4 and above can participate. Keep in mind that this activity is available only on select weeks of the year so if you happen to be there when it’s available, make sure not to miss it!

The show isn’t on all year but it’s usually open during summer. It’s also a great show to watch when you while taking a break from all the walking!

Tropical Reef Snorkel

If you have no time to organise an actual reef dive, Sea World’s Tropical Reef Snorkel is the next best thing. The activity takes place in the reef lagoon where you will encounter beautiful tropical fish, magnificent rays, and some of the bigger sharks through a glass partition.

Splash at the Reef at Castaway Bay

Jetboat Extreme

Not technically inside Sea World but located very close by is Jetboat Extreme -- the best jetboat experience in all of Surfers Paradise. It’s very easy to spend a few hours at Sea World then come straight to an amazing jetboat experience -- a total must-do on the Gold Coast.

For jetboat newbies, we offer Jetboat and Surf lessons: 55 minutes of learning how to ride one of their famous red jetboats followed by 2 hours of surf lesson. It’s a great way to spend the morning or afternoon!

Gold Coast boasts a lot of places to eat so we understand the decision paralysis. Here’s a solution: a Jetboat Extreme ride to Driftwood Social where you can enjoy a poolside lunch of either their famous Driftwood burger, Open Steak Sandwich, Nicoise lunch, or Veggie Burger. If you fancy a swim, their pool is perfect.

We saved the best for last. It’s great to be on the water but it’s awesome to be above it, too. Jetboat Exteme offers an exciting combo of jetboating followed by a marvelous helicopter tour of the city.  The heli tour ends at Marina Mirage.
