The month long Surfers Paradise Festival gets underway tomorrow with the official opening ceremony kicking off at 5.30pm with a lantern parade from Neal Shannon Park to Surfers Paradise Beach. The festival celebrates the best of Gold Coast art, culture, music and cuisine with events scheduled each weekend for the month long event. Running each weekend until July 15, the free festival provides a great opportunity for the local community to showcase its diverse range of talents.
Great for young and old, the family friendly event will see performances by some top Australian performers including Sneaky Sound System, the Last Dinosaur, David De Vito and the Hoodoo Gurus. As well as the musicians there will be acrobats, magicians, puppeteers and dancers too - so get along and check out some of the talent on show!
