Thousands of residents across Australia's flood-hit east have been forced to evacuate as the El Nino weather pattern continues to slam the country. Residents in various parts of NSW and Queensland are fleeing as the rising waters threaten their homes, businesses and lives. In parts of the country the flooding is unprecedented and has seen many rescue missions launched. Unfortunately, the devastating floods have already claimed the life of a motorist whose vehicle was swept off the road north of Gympie in south-east Queensland. Our thoughts go out to all those affected by the floods.
