Power, speed and skill to grace the beach this weekend

If you are visiting the Gold Coast this weekend be sure to check out the first round of the Kellogg's Nutrigrain Ironman and Ironwoman Series. Racing gets underway at Surfers Paradise at midday this Sunday (December 18, 2011). The women are up first and will be followed by their male counterparts at 2pm. The 90 minute Enduro race for the men will see competitors ski, swim and board as well as running in between each leg, women race for about half the duration. The series features some of the biggest names in the sport and will put Australia's top Iron men and women to the test as they race to claim some of the $300,000 plus in prize money up for grabs.
