We’ve celebrated Australia Day for 2012 so why not get in on the act when the throngs of local and visiting Kiwis celebrate their national day – Waitangi Day (February 6) on the Gold Coast this Saturday at the Parklands Showgrounds at Southport. Celebrations will include Kiwi music, a traditional Maori hangi (food cooked in the ground) and cultural performances, games and stalls. Get your jandals on and don’t forget the chilly bin!
